Added preview of the Content Versions, introduced error-free Practice flow and buttons that guide end-users through the Course
uQualio – admin users can compare Versions, and end users get guided through the Course
Highlights of the release
uQualio brings new features to let admin users see and compare different Content Versions before they get published. End users get error-free journey through the Practice, and get guiding buttons "Start/Next/Train" again that move them to the relevant parts of the Course - especially useful in an interrupted learning session.
Main features in uQualio release from August 20, 2018:
Better overview of the Versions
Admin users can compare now different Versions of the Drafts with the help of “Show version” link.
This can be done from inside the Draft, or in the separate menu tab Versions.
And if an admin user finds out that a Version needs editing, then they can click “Go to draft” link.
Then they will be redirected to the Draft this Version is created from.
Please mind that a Version cannot be changed. You make changes to the Draft and create a new Version with the changes included. You can change the status to “inactive” for the previous Version to ensure it is not used for new Courses.
Better navigation and messaging for newly invited users: they receive notification in the messages with the invite to the Course
When you invite users to a Course which Publishing Settings were set to “Public”, either via an invitation email or a button “Add user”, the users receive an invitation email with a link to the Course.
When they click on that link, first they see an “Activate Account” box, where they must enter a password to their uQualio account and their uQualio profile is created automatically. Right after they set a password, they land on the Course Page they were invited to.
For even more convenience we also send now a message with the invite to the Course, which shows up in User Notifications under the bell icon.
And of course, the user can track all their activities and messages in User Home.
Better Sign In flow for existing users that were invited to a new Course
If an admin user invites the same users to a new Course, our system will recognize them and offer them to Sign In.
Improved Practice navigation to save clicks and reduce unnecessary competitiveness
We had some confusion with the Practice in the past, where users considered it to be the real testing with results.
That’s why we decided to let our users try as many times as they need to answer correctly.
We tell them that the answer was not quite right until they answer correctly.
Then we move them automatically to the next question.
In such a way the users do not need to click “Next” to move to the next question next time, and they get a 100% right result at the end.
However, if the user does not want to go through the Practice, they can always use the “Close” button. Naturally, in such a case their score in Practice will not be 100%.
Better user experience when clicking links to Course from an expired Site
If your Site is not active on uQualio anymore, and the users will click on the old links to your Courses, they will not see an error page. We show a page that notifies “Site is not available anymore”.
Easy to start and easy to come back
We made a series of improvements to help our new user to start the Course and then resume it effortlessly when they want.
Now when a user access a Course for the first time, they get to see the button “Start”.
When they click on it, they are moved down to the first video and it begins to play.
If there is a Practice, they take it.
After that the button changes to “Next”.
If the user clicks the “Next” button, he moves to the next video they did not see yet.
This is especially helpful if the user interrupts the session and gets back to the Course some time later. All they have to do is to click the button “Next” and they are at the relevant video.
After the user saw all the videos and taken Practice, the button changes to “Take test”.
And after the user has taken Test, the button changes to “Train again”.
If the user clicks on “Train again”, they are starting the Course again from the first video with the button which is called now “Start” again.
